OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Filling up the one post of Stenographer (Gujarati) and one post of stenographer (Malayalam) in the Official Languages Wing, Legislative Department, Ministry of Law & Justice on deputation basis.

The undersigned is directed to say that one post of stenographer (Gujarati) and one post of stenographer (Malayalam) in the Official Languages Wing of the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law & Justice is required to be filled up on deputation basis. The said posts belong to General Central Service, Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted) (Ministerial) in the pay band of Rs.9,300 - 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4,200/-. Deputation to the said posts is to be made from officers of the Central Government: -

(i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the Parent Cadre/Department; or

(ii) with five years’ regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 4,000-6,000 pre-revised (PB-I of Rs. 5,200-20,200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2,400) or equivalent; or

(iii) with thirteen years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 3,050-4,590 pre-revised (PB-I of Rs. 5,200-20,200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1,900) or equivalent in the Parent Cadre/Department: and

Possessing the educational qualification and experience as under:

(a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or equivalent:

(b) Should be able to take dictation in Gujarati or Malayalam, as per the post applied for, at a speed of 100 words per minute:

Desirable:

Knowledge of English typing at the speed of 30 words per minute.

2. Appointment to the said posts on deputation will be initially for a period of one year (extended if required). It is requested that applications from suitable and willing officers in the prescribed proforma (enclosed), whose services can be spared, if selected, may be forwarded to this Department alongwith the attested copies of ACRs for the last five years, vigilance clearance and integrity certificate etc., so as to reach the undersigned within 60 days from the date of its publication in the Employment News. Those who apply for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their names later on.
